Mayor Michael Cherepko, along with the Men of Valor and the NAACP McKeesport Unit, will distribute free backpacks to McKeesport students at locations throughout the City on August 7, 14, and 21. Refreshments and hygiene products also will be offered. The schedule is August 7 (Harrison Village, 2-3 p.m.; Crawford Village, 3-4 p.m.; and McKeesport Ambulance Rescue Service, 4-5 p.m.), August 14 (New Beginnings, 2-3 p.m.; LaRosa Club, 3-4 p.m., and Beulah Park, 4-5 p.m.) and August 21 (Healthy Village Learning Institute, 4-6 p.m.).
