  4. Kids Fishing Derby

    On the second Saturday of June, Mayor Mike Cherepko and the McKeesport Recreation Board invite area children to participate in the city's Kids Fishing Derby! The event is open to anyone under 16 who can hold a fishing rod ... and yes, they can have a little help from an adult! The event includes a free lunch, door prizes, skill prizes, and a grand prize for the largest fish caught. This year's event is guided by experts from Venture Outdoors.
